IndoAsia Komunika worked together with AmCham Indonesia’s Information and Communication Technology Committee to host a training session on AI: Powering Innovation & Creativity recently, featuring Microsoft Indonesia CFO & Diversity/Inclusion Lead Krishna Worotikan and University of Indonesia Department of Communication Professor Erwin Agustian Panigoro.

The session heard CFO Krishna’s breakdown of the state of AI adoption in Indonesia and Microsoft’s latest developments in AI technology. Committee members also had the opportunity to participate in a brief AI 101 training led by Dr Erwin, who discussed recent trends in AI use in Indonesia, challenges and opportunities, and a brief crash course on AI machine learning and deep learning.

The meeting ended with a thorough discussion on future expectations of AI use in Indonesia’s business environment, responsible and ethical use of AI, and how companies stand to benefit from the assistance of AI tools such as Microsoft’s Copilot and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and translation services such as DeepL.
